Silver medals for our chefs

At the 6th National Championship of Hospital Chefs held in Opatija our chefs were among the most successful ones. Vlado Kac, Head Chef and Joško Maračić, Chef, won silver medals in a tough competition of excellent chefs from all over Croatia. Vlado Kac competed in the category The Art of Cooking: Hospital Menu. The silver medal was awarded for his menu: cauliflower cream soup, chicken breast and spinach roll and wild rice, and for desert frite, a local traditional version of doughnuts. Joško Maračić won his silver medal in the category Simple Soupy Meal by preparing Swiss chard cream soup and in the subcategory Simple Warm Meal by preparing a traditional local meal sočivo.

The employees of the Hospital had the opportunity to taste the award winning meals at the annual employee meeting.
